Man of the people - Those hicks love their guns and Bibles, sniffs Obama. Remember when he told Hillary "you're likable enough?" The more Obama gains in the polls, these glimpses of arrogance become evident.

Extra - Power Line goes a little overboard: "Is Obama's campaign over?" Macranger sticks with the rhetorical: "Obama's condescension - why are we surprised?"

Ah, sweet manufactured outrage. Without it, the media would shrivel and the blogosphere would starve.

It would take a Republican a lot of balls to suddenly worry about "arrogance" in April 2008 said...

Obama's sticking to his guns so far... hopefully, he'll cram his very reasonable observation right down the throats of the disingenuous stenographers in the media, and the amazing talking point-barking seals online:

"Out of touch? Out of touch? I mean, John McCain -- it took him three tries to finally figure out that the home foreclosure crisis was a problem and to come up with a plan for it, and he's saying I'm out of touch? Senator Clinton voted for a credit card-sponsored bankruptcy bill that made it harder for people to get out of debt after taking money from the financial services companies, and she says I'm out of touch? No, I'm in touch. I know exactly what's going on. ... People are fed up. They're angry and they're frustrated and they're bitter."

Will speaking obvious truth carry the day? Or was the Waco Kid right?
"These people are the salt of the earth, your basic American stock, you know ... morons."

Bill Kristol warned us that Obama had the "Harvard disease".

After the NASCAR race, us bitter rubes are gonna load up our shotguns and grab our Bibles. Yee-ha!

Hyuk hyuk hyuk! "Rightwing satire"! The greatest of all GOP oxymorons, next to "supporting the troops."

Save your energy for yee-ing and ha-ing. You won't really know true bitterness until Wednesday, November 5th, 2008.
