Maybe he’ll parachute into the Fleet Center

Kerry in June: “I don’t cross picket lines.”

From today’s Boston Globe: “Labor protests are expected as convention nears - Unions vow pickets amid contract talks

Two weeks before the Democratic National Convention begins, hope has all but disappeared that labor protests can be avoided during the huge party gathering, despite last-minute pressure to hurry the dispute into arbitration.
I smell a flip-flop a-comin’!

Oh, don't be so naive, Eric - remember when Kerry was contemplating "delaying" accepting the nomination so he could raise and spend more money "legally" for longer? Well, what could be better than this excuse? He gets to take the "principled stand" that he won't cross the picket lines, with the bonus that the unions will have "precluded" him from formally accepting the nomination...

OK, I'll take my tinfoil hat off now, but...

If the Democratic Party would just tell the Labor Unions to go blow, this would not be a problem. Oh, they would have to tell the Trial Lawyers to go blow, and the legions of victims, and... But, that would make them Republicans! Guess THAT ain't happening anytime soon.
