Wednesdays are for W

Allow me to take a break from the circus to remind readers of two stories that came out today: “Durable goods orders climb in June” and “Home sales still sizzle.”  President Bush came into office in the midst of a recession and, thanks to his economic policies, America is continuing to experience economic growth unseen for twenty years.

Today’s the day that the “Wictory Wednesday” bloggers ask readers to donate or volunteer to the George W. Bush campaign.  Please do what you can – it’s important.

Eric:

Well, indeed. Existing home sales are at an all-time record high, as are prices (i.e., homeowner wealth). And retail sales tracked up over the past two weeks (after that soft spot in June).

Putting that aside, my friend, initial claims for jobless benefits come out tomorrow. And, FYI, I've already drafted a blog for the data. You might want to check it out tomorrow morning (PST). It will be slow-drip reality therapy for the economic naysayers. I'm actually looking forward to it.

Best,

Jayson Javitz

Things are so clearly fabulous that I couldn't believe that left-wing liberal freak Matt Drudge would dare post these two lies on his website on the same day. Uh, and that'd be today.

Oil Prices Hit 21-Year High...

IRS SAYS AMERICANS' INCOME SHRANK FOR 2 CONSECUTIVE YEARS... CEOs' raises averaged 15%...

Since we know Iraqi oil will soon pay for everything, we'll skip the first insult. As for that second wee development, apparently it's the first time back-to-back losses have been recorded since World War II. So Pundit's comment "thanks to his economic policies, America is continuing to experience economic growth unseen for twenty years" is not just true, it actually understates matters by 40 years!

But fear not, because the recent uptick in the consumer confidence index will surely deliver Ohio! Ask voters whether they'd rather have health coverage or a spike in durable goods shipments. The answer is a no-brainer. Wictory will be ours!
