Washington Post: Gephardt, Kerry miss the most Hill votes

Gephardt [missed 85% of votes in the House] and Kerry [absent for 37% of votes in the Senate] are not alone in missing votes, though they far outpace other Democratic contenders. Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (D-Conn.) has missed 21 percent of this year's Senate votes. Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.) has missed 15 percent, and Sen. Bob Graham (D-Fla.) has missed 8 percent. Only Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich (D-Ohio), a long-shot candidate, has maintained a perfect voting record.

Further down in the article is this snippet:

"I think the Republicans would use that in the campaign," said Merle Black, a politics professor at Emory University. "Fifteen percent is one thing, but 85 percent, that's a lot. You're still taking the money. You're not showing up for work."

Yeah, and we're their employers.
