Most of the many reports on global warming have a different plot. Despite variations, these studies reach similar conclusions. Regardless of how serious the threat, the available technologies promise at best a holding action against greenhouse gas emissions. Even massive gains in renewables (solar, wind, biomass) and more efficient vehicles and appliances would merely stabilize annual emissions near present levels by 2050. The reason: Economic growth, especially in poor countries, will sharply increase energy use and emissions.The Massachusetts Democrats won't allow a wind farm off Nantucket Sound, the Detroit Democrats won't allow stricter CAFE standards, and Harry Reid is blocking the federal nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain. But they're all in agreement than Halliburton is just awful.

What war in Iraq? I haven't had MY legs blown off, and no one I know has, either.
The global warming crisis is a fraud. Sooner or later the left will get bored with it and move on to something else. Who's smart enough to predict the next science fad?
