I have no doubt about these numbers. They are in the right range from everything I know.

But consider that the choice of Hillary will not be Hillary or not Hillary, but Hillary and some specific person. If Hillary is nominated, probably the best GOP choice would be Fred Thompson. Well known and respectable voice. Not well known politically. He would fit the non-Hillary mold well.

If Obama was nominated, Rudy would be the best counter. He would pull independants better than any other GOPer in the hunt.

This is why Hillary needs to get a solid 3rd party candidate in the general election so she can win. That means McCain or maybe Bloomberg.
