With apologies to Elia Kazan. Zarqawi supposedly was killed by Iraqi police commandos in a spectacularly bloody shoot out in the far west of Anbar province. His slumped body was so riddled by bullets that the townspeople immediately claimed that the body was not the infamous Jordanian. The rumor claimed that Zarqwi was fingered by an ex-Baathist political officer who was now working for the new government. See, now all we have to do is wait for confirmation then shoot the story out.

I hope the delay in getting details is because they're waiting for DNA tests from the widely scattered shreds of flesh to come back from the lab.
