Chef quits

Fox News: “Isaac Hayes has quit "South Park," where he voices Chef, saying he can no longer stomach its take on religion.”

Alas, it’s a Scientology thing. It was OK for Hayes when Jews, Christians, Muslims, Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, Blainetology, Catholics, and Hindus were being ridiculed. But a little parody about Tom Cruise sends him packing. Here’s “South Park” co-creator Matt Stone:

Stone told The AP he and co-creator Trey Parker "never heard a peep out of Isaac in any way until we did Scientology. He wants a different standard for religions other than his own, and to me, that is where intolerance and bigotry begin."
You got that right, chil’ren.

"Lays, get your smile on."

I wonder if they will kill Chef off, or maybe make him have a sex change operation and thus require a new voice.

Oh, the possibilities.

So glad to have you back!!

South Park was supposed to re-run the Scientology show Wednesday but gossip is that Tom Cruise threatened not to do publicity for the next Mission Impossible if they did.
Now Stone and Parker are firing back:

"So, Scientology, you may have won THIS battle, but the million-year war for earth has just begun!" the "South Park" creators said in a statement Friday in Daily Variety. "Temporarily anozinizing our episode will NOT stop us from keeping Thetans forever trapped in your pitiful man-bodies... You have obstructed us for now, but your feeble bid to save humanity will fail!"

They need to be careful. Scientology does not believe in losing.
