Conservatives to Viking Pundit: Drop Dead!

OK, so my post suggesting that Karl Rove should resign wasn’t very popular. Trust me, it’s wrenching to align myself with that clown John Kerry especially when there’s a lot of truth to the Wall Street Journal and Fox News points of view. But in the end Bush said he would “fire” anyone involved with the leak (or did he?) and Rove was clearly one of the leakers (there were different leakers to Judith Miller and Robert Novak.) I just don’t want to get into the kind of playground logic of “the Clintons did worse things” or the reflexive “Screw the Democrats!” mentality.

(But it's worked so well in the past... Quiet you!)

I could be wrong, but I believe Bush said he would fire anyone involved who 'revealed' Plame's name.. not anyone 'involved'.

At first, this might seem like the typical wordplay of a different president who prided himself on escaping justice by arguing the meaning of obvious words such as "is". But there is a fairly significant difference here. For example, let's say you're a passenger in a car and the driver decides to drive 90mph in a school zone. A police officer stops the car. Should he arrest the person who drove the car, or anyone in the car? The fact that you're in vehicle makes you 'involved'. It doesn't make you guilty of a crime.

Anyway, don't lose any sleep over your opinion, Eric. We'll let it slide if you do a good Senator Splunge impression and reverse yourself... and keep on giving us free ice cream.

Nope: Anyone involved.

Courtesy Whitehouse.gov's press briefings:

Q Scott, what do you say to people out there who are watching this, perhaps, and saying, you know, I voted for George Bush because he promised to change the way things work in Washington. And, yet, his spokesman --

MR. McCLELLAN: And he has.

Q -- and, yet, his spokesman is saying that there's no internal, even, questioning of whether or not people were involved in this and he's just letting that be handled at the Justice Department, and letting it be more of a criminal investigation, as opposed to almost an ethical --

MR. McCLELLAN: Dana, I mean, think about what you're asking. If you have specific information to bring to our attention --

Q No, but you say that --

MR. McCLELLAN: -- that suggests White House involvement. There are anonymous reports all the time in the media. The President has set high standards, the highest of standards for people in his administration. He's made it very clear to people in his administration that he expects them to adhere to the highest standards of conduct. If anyone in this administration was involved in it, they would no longer be in this administration.

sorry Nigel, but you're falling for the standard "let the press rewrite the story" tactic.. Eric covered it quite well in his post.. if I had read the link he provided closer the first time, I probably wouldn't have even bothered to post my previous comment, if only because it was redundant

so Bush is handling it just as he said.. the press corpse (pun intended) is just upset because they aren't successful at their usual manipulations.. Bush knows what he said, and he's sticking to it

I agree with you. There simply is not a good reason to give anyone in the press the identity of a covert agent.

Well, If you have ever considered writing some script to automate those things that you are doing several times daily, then you have a great and easy way to automate the entir e process. It comes without saying that a few imacros and firefox add-ons can automate all actions related to a browser (Mozilla). If you wish to automate your system as such, then you'll need another script, simple commands can automate your system. Even a beginner will automate things using a simple software called as sikuli all you need to do is to tell Sikuli what to do by giving some screenshots and easy commands.
A GUI can be used with Sikuli. Sikuli is an open siurce scripting application that will use a combination of easy commands like click, type, wait and so on. There's no internal API support, it just searches the screen for the image within the screenshot-that implies that you can use it for anything. There is literally no limit on how you utilize it to automate things.
This is too good to be true, but if you watch the following video, you may come to know that this is often very easy. If you visit their home page, you get a lot of tutorials and support; it can be a cake walk even for beginners. You'll be able to check the video as well as get the software at TechnoAges.com
