This Obama fellow sure likes to cast blame and avoid responsibility

Hot Air: "Obama claim that Bush is 90% responsible for current deficit gets 100% of Pinocchios at WaPo."  Here's the conclusion from Kessler's analysis:
We are not trying to make excuses for the fiscal excesses of the Bush administration — and Congress — in the last decade. But at some point, a president has to take ownership of his own actions.
Obama certainly inherited an economic mess, and that accounts for a large part of the deficit. But Obama pushed for spending increases and tax cuts that also have contributed in important ways to the nation’s fiscal deterioration. He certainly could argue that these were necessary and important steps to take, but he can’t blithely suggest that 90 percent of the current deficit “is as a consequence” of his predecessor’s policies — and not his own.
As for the citing of the discredited MarketWatch column, we have repeatedly urged the administration to rely on estimates from official government agencies, such as the White House budget office. It is astonishing to see the president repeat this faulty claim once again, as if it were an established fact.
"Take ownership"?  Oh that's rich.  Anyway, after - what - three years of different variations of this theme, it's sure nice that somebody in the media notice that Obama lies about the deficit.  And only six weeks from the election.

Extra - Emily Miller: "The pass-the-buck president."

President Obama inherited the mess from Senator Obama. After the Democrats took over Congress in 2006, Bush vetoed 11 bills the Democrats sent him. Four of those vetoes were overridden by Congress. Parts of the 2 of the other vetoed bills that Bush had vetoed were reworked, and the President signed them into law. Those 5 bills that stayed vetoed had no real effect on our economy.

Amazing that Bush could drive the economy "into a ditch" all by himself with 5 vetoes of minor bills.

Agree with Bram; Bush had no say or control over what happened to our economy.

However, Obama has had absolute control over what's happened to our economy since then.

This has been We Rule You Drool Logic. Check back for a new game tomorrow, the next day, and every day, forever.

So sad that Obama's promises wasn't fulfilled at all and his speeches became opposite to what he's trying to implement. Erik thanks for this post. I hope Obama's party would also realize their faults.
