The Left hates free speech, a continuing series

A new GOP bill introduced to the Florida Senate would remove certain journalistic privileges, including the right to keep sources anonymous.

Statements from anonymous sources would be considered “presumptively false,” making journalists covering discrimination vulnerable to lawsuits.

It would also make it it defamation to accuse someone of racism, sexism, homophobia or transphobia. In such cases, the plaintiff would not have to prove actual malice, and the defendant would not be permitted to use the plaintiff's religious or scientific beliefs as part of their defense.

Sounds super Constitutional. Florida politicians just love throwing away money on unsustainable legislation.

And how about Florida's Escambia County removing "Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary" from schools, because it contains danger words like sex and slave and gay?

The county has also removed "David Copperfield," "Wuthering Heights," "Paradise Lost," "100 Bible Stories," "Madame Bovary," "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes," "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn," "Lord of the Flies," "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," "Catch-22," "Dracula," "Wicked," "Schindler's List," "Atlas Shrugged," "Killing Jesus" by Bill O'Reilly, "Ulysses," "The Diary of Anne Frank," Black Panther comic books, "A Treasury of Greek and Roman Legends, Art, and History," "King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table," "The World Book Encyclopedia of People and Places," and the Guinness Book of World Records.
