The Clinton follies – Hillary may be unelectable while her hubby wigs out on Fox News and inadvisably shakes his finger at us again.

Extra – Ann Althouse has more on Clinton’s interview. He’s not a Fox News fan.

More – During that interview, Bill Clinton mentioned Richard Clarke eleven times. Here’s what the White House terrorism expert said in August 2002:

RICHARD CLARKE: "Actually, I've got about seven points, let me just go through them quickly. Um, the first point, I think the overall point is, there was no plan on Al Qaeda that was passed from the Clinton administration to the Bush administration."
And Byron York has much more from Clarke’s much-cited book.

The Drudge Report has had the headline "PURPLE FACED RAGE" headline for three days now.

Really? Rage? Out of control? I guess some conservatives see what they want to see.

It's silly, and predictable pap. Clinton answered aggressively, questioning Fox News' double standard, so therefore he's all PURPLE and "wigging out." If Clinton'd said Bin Laden was all his fault, Drudge and the rightwing media would have blasted him for that. If he'd played it in the middle, Clinton would be "ducking the question." And if he'd turned down the interview, why, he'd be afraid to sit in the hot seat (see: O'Reilly x1,000). For Democrats, Fox News is the No-Win Zone.
