At least a third are believed to bring home more goods than their tax-free quotas allow, and it's not just tobacco and spirits that's being sneaked over the border.” My favorite: the 72-year-old woman smuggling 285 liters of beer.

Smuggling is the third oldest profession, after prostitution and the priesthood. It is also less sleazy than either of the first two and more democratic in that it is totally open to all.
