The Taliban and our “ally” Pakistan – The PBS series Frontline is showing a special tonight titled “The Return of the Taliban” and why the Taliban remains “virtually unchallenged” in the tribal regions between Afghanistan and Pakistan. The short answer is that Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf can’t gain control over his own security apparatus which is largely sympathetic to the jihadist cause.

This is why we shouldn't have bothered to get Pakistan's help after 9/11. Between the Pashtuns, it's nuclear program, the ISI and Islam, Pakistan is our enemy. We should have nuked it's air, naval, missile and army bases and then let chaos, radiation and the usual Islamic tendency to turn on each other to destroy what's left.
