It took the Secret Service 10 minutes to decide the Vice President had just been "assaulted," and step in. Yeah, right. If you believe that one, I've got a mushroom cloud and some unused rose petals to sell you.

Did you read the Noonan article? Do you really think these situations compare?

As far as I'm concerned, if you touch the Vice President, you're just asking for trouble. This guy found it. Good luck with that lawsuit!

Er, which is supposed to be the reassuring explanation? That Cheney uses his taxpayer-funded protection to harass taxpayers? Or that the Secret Service needs a little down time to reflect before doing their job?
