Quote of the day – Here’s Republican pollster Frank Luntz from “This time, it’s not the economy”: “I don’t know of another election cycle in which the economy was so good, yet the election prospects for the incumbent party looked so bad.”

The GOP doom and gloom meme is a week out of date. Polls are moving the GOP way. Corker is pulling away in TN. Burns in MT and Talent in MO are essentially tied. Polling in House races is beginning to show as many incumbent Dems in trouble as incumbent GOPers. I'm not takingthe polls at blind faith but the disruption of the Foley scandal seems to be passing.
