Quagmire Watch

You can’t make this stuff up: on the opening night of the Democratic National Convention, there will be a tribute to the other, less liberal, Senator from my state, Ted Kennedy. Oh, and it just happens to fall on the 35th anniversary of Chappaquiddick. (Hat tip to Tim Blair.)

Mass Backwards has the bumper sticker.

It's even better than that--at the 1988 Democrat convention, Kennedy gave a speech with the tagline, "Where was George?" "When the (insert liberal "disaster" here) was developing, where was George?"

The Republican machine printed tshirts that said "Where was George? Dry, sober, and home with his wife".
