Dershowitz on Presidential powers

Fox News: "Comey confirms that I'm right - and all the Democratic commentators are wrong."

I think he may have written this in some haste because he quotes Comey and...I'm not sure he said it.  Still, he makes a valid point about the pardon power of the President: "Just as the president would have had the constitutional power to pardon Flynn and thus end the criminal investigation of him, he certainly had the authority to request the director of the FBI to end his investigation of Flynn."

Then why doesn't Trump pardon Flynn today? Why is there such strenuous, strenuous effort to say the naif Trump only "hoped," not directed? And when will Dershowitz get the Trump retainer he has been so vigorously angling for?

He should just do it to drive the Democrats into a further frenzy over nothing.

Oh, for sure, if I were Mike Pence, I'd be lobbying Trump seven days a week to pardon Flynn.

over nothing

Did it hurt when they removed your principles?

Sorry: "failure to register as a lobbyist." Happy now?

Good luck with your collusion racket.
