I don't know, I just can't get worked up about this story. NPR suggested that the scandal about Brian Williams' lies will degrade everybody's faith in the media. If that's true, we're going to have to start digging.

I guess it's like what Michael Crichton said about the news media. You read an article about an event or subject that you have extensive knowledge about, and you are shocked by how inaccurate the reporting is. Then you turn the page, start reading another article about some other topic, and make the mistake of assuming you can rely on the accuracy of it.
So it makes sense that Williams' version of his Iraq experience would be as inaccurate as anything else he reports on.
