Should junior Senators look like they just crawled out of the crypt?

Oops, I meant the original comment, not the one above. I'm not sure *what* junior senators should look like, given that most appear to go from "look(ing) like they just crawled out of the crypt" to futt-bugly.
Kerry is "junior" like he was "electable." Or like Bush is "Presidential."
