But he got a nice advance - George Tenet's book hasn't hit the bookstands yet and already he's being knocked for inventing conversations and dereliction of duty.

Whoa! How about that? Yet another former White House insider's book is all lies, lies, LIES!!!!!

Talk about a streak!

What is it about this nasty, dirty world that makes people start telling such lies after leaving the truthful womb of truth on Pennsylvania Avenue?

Ah, the wellworn "...just trying to sell a book" comeback. The last pitiable refuge of a conservative, carrying water for Daddy.

Look at William F. Buckley, being paid to write a column for magazines and newspapers that are available for purchase, and which will inevitably end up as part of a book he'll be $elling.

The political problem of the Bush administration is grave, possibly beyond the point of rescue... President Bush will of course veto the bill, but its impact is critically important in the consolidation of public opinion. It can now accurately be said that the legislature, which writes the people’s laws, opposes the war. Meanwhile, George Tenet, former head of the CIA, has just published a book which seems to demonstrate that there was one part ignorance, one part bullheadedness, in the high-level discussions before war became policy. Mr. Tenet at least appears to demonstrate that there was nothing in the nature of a genuine debate on the question... It is simply untrue that we are making decisive progress in Iraq... It was four years ago that Mr. Cheney first observed that there was a real fear that each fallen terrorist leads to the materialization of another terrorist. What can a “surge,” of the kind we are now relying upon, do to cope with endemic disease? ...There are grounds for wondering whether the Republican party will survive this dilemma.

He's out of the loop! He's irrelevant! He's embittered! He's not worthy of a response! Doesn't Buckley know his reckless smears are emboldening the bla bla bla, and surrendering to the yadda yadda bo badda?

Al-Qaeda must be smiling today. Surely the conservative blogosphere will brand the moonbat Buckley as the cowardly traitor and defeatist that he is.
