The great left-wing freak out

Here’s Michelle Malkin plugging her new book in a post that appeared early this morning:

The views of unhinged liberals are no longer relegated to the private remarks of a few Democrat politicians or the bloviations of a few fringe figures on the farLeft. The syndrome is far more pervasive, intense, and sanctimoniously self-delusional than anything on the Right.
As if staged for effect, this was followed later in the day with the Democrats’ temper tantrum and a “Lockdown in the Senate” causing NRO’s K-Lo to marvel: “How did she get Harry Reid to agree to do p.r. for her book the day it launched, with this tactic?”

Oh, Katherine. Lord Rove finds your lack of faith disturbing.

That'd be the same Lord Rove who the unhinged liberal Trent Lott just bloviated should step down, right?

"The Rebel Alliance is better equipped, and more dangerous, than most of you realize."

Ah, sweet. Now we have true believers adopting the very Trent Lott that *we* dressed down as one of their own. And they think that's evidence of their *strength*.

Well played, Lord Rove, well played.

Lord Rove is feeling a disturbance in the Force now. "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster."

Everyone's just one year off in their Bush administration movie analogy. It's not 1977, it's 1978:
