Seattle has the 26th-highest crime index of the 204 cities, towns and regions in Washington state thus far in 2022.

It's more dangerous to live in Tacoma or Spokane. On the other hand, Tacoma and Spokane didn't piss off Fox News.

Or to put it another way, Seattle is the third-safest big city in Washington (pop. 100,000+).

Among big cities, Seattle is also safer than San Antonio, Amarillo, Waco, Lubbock, Dallas, Beaumont, and Houston. And that's just in Texas.

Next, say hello to Tallahassee, Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Miami, Miami Beach, Miami Gardens, St.Petersburg, and Orlando. If you're worried about vacation crime, do the safe thing and take the wife and kids to Seattle!

[All crime index stats are as of right now, today.]
