It was a garage door pull rope

Legal Insurrection: "NASCAR “Noose” Story Was #FakeNoose" - "Although the noose is now known to have been in garage number 4 in 2019, nobody could have known Mr. Wallace would be assigned to garage number 4 last week."

Let me just say as a longtime NASCAR fan that I don't believe Bubba Wallace pulled a Jussie Smollett as some are alleging.  I've seen in some forums that he didn't even see the "noose" and that it was just reported to NASCAR officials who, perhaps, overreacted within the current political climate.

If you're an Alabaman, you probably don't appreciate the stereotypical profiling.

On the subject of metaphorical strangulation, it's A+-rated Siena College's new poll:

North Carolina: Biden 49 - Trump 40
Florida: Biden 47-41
Michigan: Biden 47-38
Pennsylvania: Biden 50-40
Arizona: Biden 48-41
Wisconsin: Biden 49-38

North Carolina Sen: Cunningham 42, Tillis 39
North Carolina Gov: Cooper 50, Forest 39
Arizona Sen: Kelly 47, McSally 38

Trump approval 41%, disapproval 56%

Fun Fact: Basement Biden is polling nationally at over 50%.

The last two presidential candidates to have averaged over 50% in June were Ronald Reagan in 1984, and Richard Nixon in 1972.

Today's new Fox News poll:

Florida: Biden 49, Trump 40
Georgia: Biden 47, Trump 45
N.Carolina: Biden 47, Trump 45
Texas: Biden 45, Trump 44

Well, losing in North Carolina by only 2% technically constitutes a better than normal poll for Trump...

If Trump can come back to win North Carolina... and then somehow if there's a certification error that counts North Carolina six times to make up for losing Florida, Georgia and Texas...
