America, heck yeah!

Heaven knows I have many, many problems with President Obama.  But, honestly, I don't have an issue with an American President going to the heart of Taliban country and saying: "Remember that guy we swore we'd kill?  He's sleeping with the fishes.  He's pushing up sea cucumbers in Davy Jones' locker."

He's the Commander-in-Chief (for now) and, let's face it, if the whole deal had gone south we'd be talking about Carter's "Desert One" until the cows come home.  It's his one unvarnished moment of glory - let him have it.

You must be kidding. If it had gone south 1 of 2 things would have happened. You would have never heard of it, or he would of thrown the admiral making the call under the bus. Have you been paying attention the last 3 years? The One never takes blame for anything. Hard to believe you would think otherwise.

If you keep talking all mean about Hypothetical Obama like that, he'll take away your guns. As soon as he's done apologizing for America. Don't push Hypothetical Obama, because he'll do it!!

Please, if the whole thing had gone south, they would've plastered the compound with missiles from a drone, and we'd hear about some civilians being killed in Abbotabad to add to the other times "civilians" have been killed in Pakistan at "weddings". Publicly so&son would resign, and Obama would play golf, blame Bush, and enjoy the trappings of the presidency.

THe reasonable side of me will allow Obama this small victory, because for him, it is. THe real credit belongs to the CIA. But President Obama nor the mainstream media can give the CIA a pat on the back publically because the liberal base is still convinced the CIA killed Kennedy and King with crack and AIDS. Don't believe any liberal who tells you Bush stopped the search for bin Laden and Obama was the one who picked it up again. The search never stopped, obviously, and any public utterances that it had stopped were red herrings to lure OBL into complacency. And the ruse obviously worked.

Graham Chapman: I think all right thinking people in this country are sick and tired of being told that ordinary, decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired.

All: Yes, yes...

Graham Chapman: I'm certainly not! And I'm sick and tired of being told that I am.

Host: Mrs. Havoc-Jones.

Mrs. Havoc-Jones: Well, I meet a lot of people and I'm convinced that the vast majority of wrongthinking people are right.

Host: There seems like a consensus there. Could we have the next question, please?

Woman: I would like to ask the team what changes they would make if they were Hitler?

Graham Chapman: Well, speaking personally, I would annex the Sudetenland.

Host: Norman?

Norman: I think I'd pay some Dutchmen to set fire to Lord Snowdon.

As dfwmtx so sagely points out, catching up to Osama Bin Laden was merely the culmination of a long project devised and overseen by George W. Bush. And if the endpoint just so happened to occur on his successor's watch, well, let the baby have his bottle.

Meanwhile, in totally unrelated news, are they STILL blaming Bush for the bad economy? C'mon! It's been THREE YEARS already!
