$2,000,000,000,000
Two trillion dollars. That's how much additional spending John Kerry is proposing over the next ten years, according to "The Kerry campaign's funny math." He'll pay for it by raising taxes on the rich and actually cutting taxes for the middle class.
Not.

The Congressional Budget Office released a report on Friday that reveals the top two percent of the nation's wealthtiest individuals saved an average of about $75,000 per year with the Bush tax cuts. For everybody else's share, take that number and divide it by about 70.
That's how raising taxes on the upper two percent can make such a huge different. The top two percent control an enormous amount of money that should be taxes appropriately. And if it's done, then proper funding will exist.
As is, the Bush tax cuts have resulted in zero (0) funding for the No Child Left Behind initiatives and thousands of police officers being taken off the streets. Oh yeah, and don't forget Dubya's $100 billion hobby in Iraq.
Since there are approx. 300,000,000 million people in the country, of which half don't pay taxes (due to age or income bracket), that means the average taxpayer will pay an additional $15,000 or so in annual taxes.
