This news may not enthrall anyone outside of the Metropolitan New York area, but the legendary rock station WNEW-FM has ditched their moronic talk format and returned to their roots. Thank God. I was one of the eighty people who purchased and read WNEW DJ Richard Neer’s “FM: The Rise and Fall of Rock Radio” about the death of free-form rock radio and the rise of “the suits.” (Here’s my Blogcritics review of the book.) Even though I’m out of listening range now, I’m thrilled that WNEW found their soul again and reverted back to “Where Rock Lives!” [holding up lighter]
