If you're a proud American, you must vote for Trump.

From this past Tuesday:

REPORTER: "Do you believe that you should have been tougher on Iran after they had launched ballistic missiles in 2020 on U.S. forces in Iraq [Trump smirks and shakes his head], leaving more than a hundred U.S. soldiers injured?

DONALD TRUMP: "So first of all injured, what does injured mean? Injured means you mean because they had a headache, because the bombs never hit the fort? So just so you understand, uhh, there was nobody ever tougher on Iraq. They had no money with me. They would have made any deal with me, I would have had a deal made within literally I would have had a deal made within one week after the election. They were dying to make a deal. And when you say not tough? They had no money. They had no money for Hamas, they had no money for Hezbollah. And when we hit them, they hit us. And they called us. And they said 'We're going to shoot at your fort. But we're not going to hit it. And if you were a truthful reporter which you're not, you would tell, the following. None of those. Very accurate missiles hit our fort they all hit outside. And there was nobody hurt other than the sound. Was loud. Some people said. Aehhh. 'That hurt,' and I accept that. And of the 18 rockets that were launched, six of 'em. Self-destructed, twelve of 'em approximately twelve of 'em. Arrived, and when they arrived very accurate. Rockets missiles. And when they arrived they missed the fort. But they had to do that and uhhh I thought it was a very nice thing, because they didn't wants us to retaliate again. But I was the one who started that. Okay."

Trump in 2020 when it happened:
"I heard that they had headaches, and a couple of other things. But I would say, and I can report it is not very serious. Not very serious. They told me about it numerous days later. You’d have to ask Department of Defense. No, I don’t consider them very serious injuries, relative to other injuries that I’ve seen."

The Military Times:
"Pentagon officials have said more than 100 U.S. troops were diagnosed with brain injuries following a missile attack at the Ain al-Asad base in Iraq in January 2020."

The Guardian, 2021:
"Donald Trump’s White House asked the Pentagon to play down and delay reports of brain injuries suffered by US troops from an Iranian missile attack on Iraq last year, according to a former defense spokeswoman.

Alyssa Farah said she fended off the pressure from the White House, which came after Trump had first claimed there had been no casualties and then dismissed the injuries as “headaches” and “not very serious.” ...Dozens had to be evacuated to Germany and then the US for treatment."

CNN reporter Haley Britzky:
"Dozens of US service members received the Purple Heart because of the missile attack in 2020. One soldier told CBS he had constant headaches and memory loss as a result of the TBI: 'The person I was prior to a traumatic brain injury, he's gone.' "

CBS News producer Michael Caplan: "Our reporting found dozens of injured soldiers originally weren't awarded Purple Hearts, despite appearing to qualify, because for fear of undercutting Trump's assertion that the injuries were minor. Following our report, they Army reversed course and awarded them the honor."

As always, Donald Trump says to our military, "Fuck you for your service."
