Gaffe then have a laugh

Red State: "Clean-Up on Aisle Biden By His Handlers Just Makes Things All the Worse."
The lies are just getting lazier and lazier. I mean, I know that Karine Jean-Pierre is the worst press secretary in modern history, but you’d think she could get a few people around here with some sense of creativity. If you are going to tell a falsehood, at least make it somewhat believable, otherwise, it just mimics parody.
This was a variation of the "top of mind" fiasco, where the White House Press Office needed to scramble to come up with some kind of explanation for Dementia Joe's latest lie.  They simply cannot say anything approximating the truth that Biden is losing it.

Say...where is Jackie?

Extra - Hot Air: "So Biden got confused and the White House is lying to cover for him."

More - Powerline: "Who is our President?"

Donald Trump pitched a plan to throw reporters in jail for violating a nonexistent law, where they will be raped until they give up their sources.

His audience laughed.

Trump also said he's going to sue the Pulitzer Prizes in the next 2 weeks, and make them take back the prizes awarded to the NY Times and the Washington Post for their coverage of Trump/Russia election collusion. Mark your calendar.

Trump also said he could be elected Israeli Prime Minister, but American Jews need to get their act together before it's too late.

Republican Jewish organizations have been conspicuously silent about the last comment, because "If I am not for myself," Fatty stays happy.

Gov. Ron DeSantis at his debate yesterday:

"Actually, if you look around the country, they do have programs unfortunately where they will take a student, look at their race and say "Okay, you're white, you're an oppressor." If you're black, you're oppressed. Think what that does to a 6 or 7-year-old kid. That's wrong. You're seeing that."

[audience starts laughing and hooting at DeSantis]

"You have people that are teaching - and actually [Charlie Crist's] running mate has said this in the past - teaching that the United States was built on stolen land. That is inappropriate for our schools. It is not true."

[audience laughs and hoots more loudly]

Aaron Rupar:
"Hard to watch DeSantis's shaky, awkward performance during the Crist debate tonight and not think about how easy it'd be for Trump to demolish him with a mere crude insult or two."

Maggie Haberman:
"The debate may not have done a ton to change the trajectory of the Florida Governor's race. But it did have a number of political operatives - all affiliated with someone other than Trump - wondering how DeSantis will withstand Trump in a primary debate."
