This is almost certainly unconstitutional since that document spells out exactly what requirements are needed to be President and states can't add on whatever they want. Ironically, this was the argument former California governor Jerry Brown - Jerry Brown! - made when he vetoed the same law two years ago.
If history is any guide, this move will boomerang spectacularly on the Democrats.
