Lloyd Grove has already contributed so much to the world, such as breaking the great "stolen W's" keyboard scandal from the final hours of the Clinton Presidency. That story was so great, it didn't NEED to be true!
But with one eye peeled for "well-heeled eggheads," the other on the lookout for "do-gooders," and his brown nose wedged just south of the Beltway, Lloyd may have lost perspective. He made a teeny-tiny mistake in citing Mort Zuckerman and Niall Ferguson as President Obama's slip-sliding constituency.
Did Grove ever READ the New York Daily News while he was, errrr, writing for it? Has Grove ever taken a quick peek at Prof. Ferguson's extensive career history? Captain Ahab's legs were more leftist than these two men.
Therefore, characterizing Zuckerman and Ferguson's criticism of Obama's policies as "waning support" is like saying that the Duke basketball team doesn't get cheered anymore in the Dean Smith Center.
But it's a minor flaw. The part where they "turn against" Obama was only 75% of Grove's column, and 100% of his premise.
