AO-Hell – Maybe I’m way late for this story but I read about it in the New York Post this weekend and, boy, can I sympathize. Vinny from Insignificant Thoughts tried to cancel his AOL account. Hilarity (and employment termination) ensued.

When I cancelled AOL, I called my bank and asked them to replace my bank card number because of all the stories I heard about them. Problem solved.

I think when I teach org theory next fall I'll use this as a case study of how not to do it. Stuff like this has to kill AOL eventually. Not soon enough, probably, but eventually.

Last summer I had no problem canceling AOL; maybe I'm the only one.
