I can't even imagine what authority Trump has to shut down a free speech platform and this just feeds into the impression that he entertains tyranny whenever his feelings get hurt.

Thing is, they aren’t a free speech platform. They pretend to be one, but they aren’t.
they stopped being a free speech platform when they started censoring . It is the difference between a book store (what twitter claims it is) and a book publisher. they are now a publisher.
The reason Trump pulls this sort of thing is this - he sees how they respond to the initial provocation, then he proceeds from there.
