Hit and Run: "Is 49ers' QB Colin Kaepernick Right To Sit During the National Anthem?"
My feeling is: go ahead and ride the pine, buddy. That's your right to free speech. And if the endorsement deals dry up and the 49ers attendance starts to resemble the University of Missouri then, oh well, gotta break some eggs to make that omelette.

Hope you’re not counting on that schadenfreude. The 49ers attendance:
2009: 557,856
2010: 557,856
2011: 557,856
2012: 557,856
2013: 557,856
2014: 566,192
2015: 566,392
(The 49ers switched stadiums in 2014.)
Over in Missouri: Following last year’s one-day strike by the University’s football team, the per-game football attendance dropped from 65,285 in 2014 to 65,120. As for the on-field product, the team had won its division in 2013 and 2014, but collapsed to sixth place in 2015 while going 1-7 in its conference. Mizzou is expected to be weak this year, too.
Past performance is no guarantee of future results.
As Kap's career proves.
The odds of the 49ers taking an attendance hit over this are roughly 557,856-to-1 against.
Declining backup QB Kaepernick, playing for a team coming off a last place finish, now has the 5th-highest selling jersey in the NFL.
