Was the Hitler comparison the most diplomatic remark possible? Certainly not. Does Donald Rumsfeld have innocent blood on his hands? By jingo, yes. Did Hitler and Rumsfeld both lie to their countries by insisting they were winning their respective wars? Gracious sakes, indeed they did. Are they both repellent figures who will be remembered by history for exploiting fear and embracing torture? Golly gumdrops, they sure are. Should a person of good morals be ashamed to be associated with either man? Leapin' lizards, you bet.

But you go on "The View" with the simile you have, not the simile you wish you had.

Goddamn, obnoxious commenter, you are a morally dead idiot, incapable of reasoned, ethical distinction. I am ashamed you are a fellow homo sapiens, much less fellow countryman. I question your humanity and your patriotism.

Snarky commenter, you've outdone yourself. That is truly depraved.

Using that kind of specious "reasoning" just trivializes the evils of the real Adolph Hitler.

...and coming from a Saddam Hussein apologist.

I'm announcing that I only left that first post on a trial basis, so that therefore I would not be a "loser." Wisdom can and is being attained. Perhaps I shall provide money to key political and religious leaders (as Saddam Hussein did), to get them to help us get through this difficult period.

It makes no sense to compare Donald Rumsfeld to Adolf Hitler. The difference between the two is stark and obvious.

When it was all over and his disastrous war came crashing down upon his head, at least Hitler had the good grace to commit suicide.
