The Empire strikes back

The Left is taking a beating today from all quarters. Here’s a roundup:

The Washington Times – “The Democrats’ bubble”: “If Mr. Bush's bubble is a close and loyal staff, the Democrats' bubble is the media culture to which they look for descriptions of political reality. Their main problem is that they don't understand the way the bubble acts as an echo chamber, repeating their preferred interpretation of what's going on back to them.”
Larry Kudlow with “November is 10 months away”: “Fundamentally, President Bush must rally the nation to his big-picture themes of victory, optimism, growth and progress. Democrats are pessimistic, negative and defeatist, so the contrast couldn't be clearer. If the president produces the policy merchandise, and makes the national sale, 2006 could be a very surprising political year, where once again the conventional wisdom is proven wrong.”
Dick Morris – “How the Democrats saved Bush
Blogs for Bush – “Democrats choose their 2006 ground
Strata-Sphere – “Why the Left fails
Michelle Malkin – “The Left’s privacy hypocrites
Captain Ed – “The new Democratic meme: Self-immolation”: “I will pray every night that Howard Dean and the rest of the Democrats take Kos' advice and adopt this as their meme, because I'm sure people feel like they would rather not see New York nuked than to take action within the law to defend this nation.”
Right Wing Nuthouse – "A “Hold Harmless” Contract for Libs": “Let’s impeach Bush for…well, whatever the left can dream up. Since they really don’t have anything specific to hang their hats on, let’s just say that Bush should be impeached for letting his nose hair grow too long or maybe for trimming his toenails in public. The reason doesn’t matter. It never did. With the left, it’s always been about grasping for the reins of power without much thought to who or what gets hurt – and that includes tens of thousands of citizens who could be killed in the next terrorist attack.”

Is the quote supposed to be ironic?
