This is all Spongebob’s fault! From the Boston Globe – “Activists look to sue over cartoons in cereal ads – State may become battleground in war on childhood obesity”: Saying Massachusetts could become a legal battleground in the war over childhood obesity, a Washington, D.C., nutrition group yesterday threatened a lawsuit here against the Nickelodeon cable network and Kellogg Co. for using cartoon characterslike SpongeBob SquarePants and Tony the Tiger to sell junk food to children.Oh for heaven’s sake, is there no end to the perpetual nanny state? Only Massachusetts would entertain such a Froot-Loop lawsuit. Extra – More thoughts on feckless parenting over at Wunderkraut.
