I can barely remember the days before our rights were stripped away by the Patriot Act. What were we thinking to hand over the "essence of American freedom"?
Fools! All of us!
Also: NASCAR = fasting growing sport in history. Baseball = fading fast
I have to wonder...do any liberals know anything at all about the Patriot Act, or is is sort of like the way little kids are convinced there's a monster under the bed? --Toren
And we have to wonder, when a sizeable percentage of Republicans support anything Bush does with the kind of rigid vehemence that a 6-year-old uses to defend their Daddy, who's acting like children? And when some of the hardest-right conservatives in the Senate are the ones most troubled by Bush, who "gets it" about values and security again?
Okay, forget those questions. Just answer one. When's that whole "restoring honor to the Oval Office" thing due to happen? It's been 5 years and the suspense is killing us!
I assume the gratuitous baseball P.S., part of your running joke for one, is because you think I left Anonymous' "essence of American freedom" post. Alas, I did not.
I do appreciate your saying "Beetlejuice beetlejuice beetlejuice" just to summon me. However, I believe I could more quickly train a dog to understand that baseball's popularity is increasing, and that NASCAR's rate of growth does not dwarf the WNBA's, let alone all other sports ever. Also, the House didn't block renewing parts of the Patriot Act, the Senate did, so comparing the House resolution on NASCAR with another one that also passed is irrelevant. Thus, you were wrong 3 or 4 times in 40 or 50 words, an impressive ratio by any standard. It's almost Presidential.

Remember the time Tony Stewart secretly subverted the U.S. Constitution? What a creep!
Blocked: The anti-American "Patriot" act, which claimed to defend America from terrorists while eroding the essence of American freedom.
Passed: Tony Stewart! Go NASCAR!
Yay!
BTW--Rearrange the letters in "Pundit" and you get "Dipnut".

Er, "William," Eric has been beating Bush like a big ol' bass drum on this blog for several years now.
But thanks for playing.
