That's a lot of discussion about the weather

Here's Joe Biden in 2019:
"I have never discussed, with my son or my brother or with anyone else, anything having to do with their businesses. Period. And what I will do is the same thing we did in our administration. There will be an absolute wall between personal and private [business interests] and the government."

The Democrats insist this was just financial advice discussion except they coincided with trips to the Ukraine:
All told, then-Vice President Biden emailed Schwerin 35 times before and after his 2014 trips to Ukraine. Five emails were exchanged just prior to a trip by Vice President Biden to Ukraine on June 7, 2014, and 27 emails were sent from the end of June to a second trip to Ukraine by Biden on Nov. 21, 2014.
Dementia Joe has decided to address these allegations in an open press conference today.  Just kidding: he's spending the day sniffing kids and ducking the press.

To the starving, the number 35 is evidence.

Much less to say about GOP Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel and Donald Trump being caught on tape telling two Michigan electors not to certify the 2020 election, and promising to provide them with attorneys.

The Detroit News:
On a Nov. 17, 2020, phone call, which also involved Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, Trump told Monica Palmer and William Hartmann, the two GOP Wayne County canvassers, they'd look "terrible" if they signed the documents after they first voted in opposition and then later in the same meeting voted to approve certification of the county’s election results, according to the recordings.

"We've got to fight for our country," said Trump on the recordings, made by a person who was present for the call with Palmer and Hartmann. "We can't let these people take our country away from us."

McDaniel, a Michigan native and the leader of the Republican Party nationally, said at another point in the call, "If you can go home tonight, do not sign it. ... We will get you attorneys."

To which Trump added: "We'll take care of that."
...
The revelation of the contents of the call with the former president comes as he faces four counts of criminal conspiracy to defraud the United States and its voters of the rightful outcome of the election. Efforts to prevent certification of Democrat Joe Biden’s 154,000-vote victory in Michigan are an integral part of the indictment.

Andrew Weissmann:
Trump and Ronna McDaniel - Offering a thing of value to a public official to violate oath of office = a crime.

S.V. Dáte:
In fairness, if these lawyers who were being offered were anything like the other lawyers who were working on the coup plot, "thing of value" might be a stretch.

Look over there! A squirrel!

Look over there! A squirrel standing on a pile of actual evidence! Unlike a 35!

Yes, indeed! Actual evidence like bank ACH transaction records documenting monthly payments from one of Hunter's companies (the one receiving million$ from China, no less) directly to 'Ole Joe himself.

But not to worry - if you can take Joe's word as a Biden that he had no financial interest in any of Hunter's businesses.

And James Biden's cancelled $200,000 check to Joe marked 'Loan Repayment' is, of course, certainly a loan repayment - family members loan each other money all the time, no need for formal loan documents - but either the original loan was made with a verifiable bank transaction of some kind, or else it was made with a suitcase full of cash, take your pick. I'll stop asking about THAT one when that *verifiable* bank transaction turns up.

Actual squirrels know why you've only gotten a drip-drip-drip parade of hard sell hints and inklings from Sherlock Comer. And why.

But you don't need to convince me to join you in Swallowtown.

You need to persuade the various Republican Senators and Republican House members who've publicly said they've seen zero evidence of wrongdoing.

Go tell them "word as a Biden" but with a really evidentiary sneer. That's sure to propel your smoking gun wet dream over the finish line.

Well, they don't call Republicans 'The Stupid Party' for nothing, you know.

But I'm glad to hear that I don't need to convince you to join me.

This response must have sounded cleverer when you were typing it.

Try sending it to the Bee. They'll likely send you a check.
