Hunter Biden faces 9 tax charges

Why are they picking on this poor child?  CNN: "Hunter Biden faces nine criminal charges in federal tax case."

Hunter is said to have made more than $7 million in gross income between 2016 and 2020, according to the documents.

In addition, prosecutors allege Hunter receives around $1.2 million 'in financial support to fund his extravagant lifestyle' in 2020 alone.

The documents argue that none of this financial assistance was used to pay 'any of his federal individual income tax liabilities for 2016-2019.'

Adding: 'Between 2016 and October 15, 2020, the Defendant spent this money on drugs, escorts and girlfriends, luxury hotels and rental properties, exotic cars, clothing, and other items of a personal nature, in short, everything but his taxes.'

Between 2016 and 2020 the indictment argues that Hunter spent more than $683,000 on 'various women' as well as almost $400,000 on 'clothing and accessories'.

It also alleges that he spent $188,000 on 'adult entertainment' throughout that period.
This guy made $7 million in four years and even that wasn't enough to fund his lifestyle.  He had to "borrow" (I guess) another $1.2 million from suckers, art lovers, and Dementia Joe.

Also: it looks like the testimony of IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley was spot on.

But as long as we're on the subject of criminal charges....

Reuters:
US retail lobbyists retract key claim on 'organized' retail crime

The main lobbying group for U.S. retailers retracted its claim that "organized retail crime" accounted for nearly half of all inventory losses in 2021 after finding that incorrect data was used for its analysis.

...The NRF's claim that organized retail crime accounted for "nearly half" of inventory losses was repeated in multiple media reports on the issue. The NRF has cited growing rates of crime in calls for Congress to pass new laws, including proposed legislation that would broaden the scope of offenses considered “organized” crime and increase potential penalties.

Or as Kevin Drum put it:
America is prone to periodic media-driven panics. Preschool satanic rituals. Frivolous lawsuits. Video games. Social media. CRT. Whenever one of them takes off, there's suddenly an explosion of evidence for it—and it's the same for shoplifting gangs. News networks play the same few video clips over and over. CEOs use it as a handy excuse for weak earnings reports. Experts are trotted out to "explain" what's happening. We're constantly reminded that most shoplifting isn't reported, as if that hasn't always been the case. And lobbying groups like the NRF cite transparently idiotic "facts" about the skyrocketing scope of the problem.

Eventually time passes and we all realize we overreacted. But while the panic is in high gear we're utterly convinced by the manufactured evidence tossed in our faces.

Shoplifting is a problem. Does anyone deny it? But it's been a problem for a long time and isn't much different today than it was a decade ago.

Media aren't closing store's in crime ridden areas. Business' in crime infested liberal cities know exactly how much money is being lost to looting conservative bloggers and housewives and are shutting down stores accordingly.

You sound as dumb as Hunter's lawyers for telling the judge to rip it up.

True, but 9 *real* crimes outweigh 91 made-up (nobody was defrauded) crimes every time in an honestly-run Justice Department.

And how about those bank records proving that Joe Biden was receiving monthly ACH transfer payments from one of Hunter's partnerships? Funny how none of those undeniable facts manage to make it into the nightly news, isn't it?

When you can't be correct, be stubborn and belligerent.

Sorry for pouring cold water on the raging boner you get from your "liberal" shoplifting "crisis."

This made it into the news just today. And it's funnier:

"The House Oversight Committee has been at this for years, and they have so far not been able to provide any concrete evidence that Joe Biden personally profited from his son Hunter's overseas business."

Said Peter Doocy of Fox News. Whose literal job is to challenge, contradict, and/or criticize Joe Biden.

Oh, well. At least the 2024 Republicans will be able to run against the Biden economy, which is weak and getting weaker.... oops.

Why was Hunter getting millions of dollars selling access to his dad during the Trump years if the election fix was not already in play and a sure thing?
