Hot Air: "Sure, Why Not: Green New Deal Could Cost $93 Trillion Over 10 Years, Study Says."

Remember, though: when you're on the "right side of history" and literally trying to save the world, piffling little things like the cost are not up for discussion.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis.

Despite what I'm sure is a very sincere, thorough and serious cost analysis, I hear that the New Green Deal "will pay for itself."

And that the polar bears will greet us as liberators.

You've hauled out that same C.S. Lewis quote before. But this one’s more on point these days:

"We laugh at honor, and are shocked to find traitors in our midst." - C.S. Lewis

"Moral busybodiness has much to recommend it." - The Commi
