Kos on the Kross – Blogging fame seems to have fried Markos’ brain. How else to explain this
disjointed, self-serving and paranoid rant? While he’s out on the media circuit, his minions are
running the asylum. Meanwhile, the New Republic is
hitting back with acerbic precision. Less than a month after YearlyKos, he's jumped the shark.

If it's "paranoid" for Kos to talk about opponents "trying to take him down," shouldn't the rightwing bloggers kind of stop crowing about landing the deathblow to Dan Rather's career?
As far as Kos' worldview about the power of blogs, it reminds me of the bit actor who got a one-line Broadway role as a Western Union man who makes a quick entrance and exit in the third act. Asked "what is the play about?" his answer is, "It's about a man who delivers telegrams."
Of course, Kos is hardly alone in trying to promote his ambition as a self-replicating media meme. And it often works: how else does an empty linkhound like Matt Drudge become one of Time Magazine's "100 most influential people in the world"?
