Hits count more than comments. You get comments when you say something stupid, more often that not. Is it worth saying stupid stuff just to get people to spew in the comments?
I know I've commented a couple of times with what amounted to "me too" but that's because I really like the sound of my own voice. ;-)
I have been reading your blog for over a year (if not two). When Blogger failed you a few months ago....I thought Viking Pundit was gone for good. A lost that I am sure a lot of people acutely felt.
When you can back (helped by others), and you mentioned how much you enjoy blogging and will not relent...I could not help but smile....and since then have even incorporated some of your posts (especially on Social Security) on my news/blog page at http://www.bookyards.com/blogs.html#top
Keep on blogging....I am sure you will be surprised if you knew who was actually reading your posts

Eric - love your blog. Keep it up!
Hi, Viking Mom!
Comment.
your comments
I cannot comment about an ongoing blog.
notes on the refrigerator, now THERE'S an idea!
I agree with the poster who said, "Comment."
Keep it up and don't get discouraged. You average almost 1000 views a day. That is more than many small town newspapers!!!
I read your blog every day. Thank you for your efforts, and words.
Good detective work. I didn't think that comic had ever had a single strip that was funny.

Eric-Don't be so insecure! Just because your readers don't comment does not mean we are not reading your blog!
Eric,
You'll appreciate this. I drove 206 miles to Durango, Colorado so I could take the kids to see Thomas the Tank Engine.
I hope your father's day was as nice as mine.
