I’m about to curl up in a ball and cry – They’re predicting 3-5 inches of snow tonight. I’ve already drained all the gas out of my snowblower and put away the shovels. It’s March 23rd for heaven’s sake! Enough already!!!

Dude. You live in *western* Massachusetts. What do you *mean* you already put away the shovels?

I wouldn't have put mine away yet even if it hadn't been such an evil winter.

If your judgement about putting away your snowblower in western MA is as good as your comments about politics, then those are worthless. Western MA gets heavy snow as late as May 1st, and I speak from experience, living in central northern CT up against the MA border. I've lived in Albany, NY too and had heavy snows in late April as well. Join the rest of the reality-based community for a change, rather than concentrating only on the will-driven bund.

So you're an optimist. When was the last time Western New England had serious snow after the first day of spring? Five years ago? Six? I swear I'm so numb that last night I just stared out the window incredulously and that white shit. If I don't see some signs of life outside soon, I'm going to end up sitting the corner sucking my thumb.

If anyone talks about global warming in my presence I won't be responsible.
