I can name that tune - So I picked up one of these opera compilation CDs today and, during dinner, I heard "Flower Duet from Lakme" by Delibes. And I said: "Hey, it's the British Airways theme song!" Now you know.
BTW – I realize that Mark and Pejman are probably rolling their eyes right now in derisive contempt: “But of course it’s Delibes, heathen.”

IIRC, the BA theme song, as televised, was remixed by Yanni, the Greek composer better known as the husband of Linda Evans, of 'Dynasty' fame.
