The lunatic fringe

I have to admit that I didn’t think the Democrats would go through with the challenge to the Ohio electoral votes. I figured there’d be a little grandstanding by Barbara Boxer but the mechanism of government would operate smoothly nonetheless. Now I think the Democratic Party has gone stone cold Dean-scream Froot-Loops. Today they tied up the work of Congress for a self-indulgent swipe at the President which included praise for Michael Moore and racist remarks. Then they attacked Attorney General-nominee Alberto Gonzales for being too tough on terrorists. Then, to cap it all off, it looks like the Democrats are stuck between picking Howard Dean and sticking with Terry McAuliffe as DNC chair.

Somewhere in heaven, Tip O’Neill is pouring himself a double.

Me thinks we're looking at a filibuster-proof Senate in 2006!

I listened to about as much of that as I could stomach. Funny how they are all NOW stalwart supporters of free elections in Iraq when they were the ones who were saying last year that we had no business being there in the first place.

How do you spell "Opportunistic Grab-Asses"?

And yet, every one of those who participated in this travesty will be reelected by a significant margin.

Bets?
