Bay State humor

A faithful reader whom I jokingly refer to as the other conservative Eric in Massachusetts forwarded this transcript between radio host Howie Carr and our Republican governor Mitt Romney. Carr was asking Romney about the recent MA Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage:

HC: So, Governor, there are folks who think this ruling might come into play in the 2004 Presidential race.
Governor: Well, sure.
HC: So, you agree?
Governor: Well, it certainly could be, that's for sure.
HC: So I'm wondering if you've heard where Senator Kerry stands on this issue?
Governor: Well (Pause). No. (Chuckle) But I think it's safe to say he'll follow his gut on this, and come down on both sides.

Zing! I hope they invite Mitt to the Democratic National Convention in Boston next year.
