I tried to cancel the account via the Verizon website but there is absolutely no information whatsoever on their web page. They will, however, help you find a million different ways to pay your bill (automatic transfer makes it easy!). So Verizon isn't lying when they say they'll never stop working for you. Just stay away from their "All you CAN eat" restaurant.
