John Derbyshire makes an interesting point on the Corner today:
Kim Jong Il has not been seen in public since February. Has missed meetings he normally attends. The Washington Times says he's probably channel-surfing the War. I bet that "leadership strike" against Saddam on March 19th has given him nightmares.Whether or not that “decapitation” attack worked on the first night of the war (and more and more I’m thinking it did), if the propaganda effect causes tyrants around the world to go radio-silent, it was worth it.
