Awesome sauce

Sauce for the gander, that is.  Atlantic: "Inside Trump’s Strategy to Use Mueller on the Campaign Trail"
Trump allies see Barr’s letter as a kind of Swiss Army knife—a tool useful in all kinds of situations. Not only is it exculpatory, they say, but it also implicitly rebukes the press for its coverage of the Russia investigation, inoculating Trump from any future scandal that reporters might unearth. According to a source familiar with internal discussions at the Republican National Committee and the pro-Trump super PAC America First, both organizations are “geared up for any nonsense to come.”

They’re already prepared to attack reporters. “Any reporter who tries that will be hit with 30-second spots of all their ridiculous claims about collusion,” said the source, who, like others interviewed for this story, requested anonymity to describe private conversations. “Their tweets have all been screencapped. It’s all ready to go.”
I hope Trump goes to the White House Correspondents Dinner and gives a Soviet-style four-hour speech where he reads off all the fake news from the past two years.

Intimidating!

Meanwhile, in a legislative end run, the House Oversight Committee has demanded the last ten years of Trump's financial records from his accounting firm, thus castrating Steve Mnuchin's determination to block requests to the IRS or Treasury.

Liddle Adam Schitt declined to resign his House seat today, while calling out the GOP's lack of patriotism. Looks like Schiff and his subpoena dance card will need to be re-rebuked, and re-re-rebuked.

All of the names on Trump's "ban these guests from your shows!" list have continued to appear, making Trump's memo even less effective than one of his executive orders.

Trump thinks yet another do-over on the Obamacare repeal that drove the 2018 Blue Wave is THE smartest way to leverage his Barr Report victory. That game changing memo will become perceptible in Trump's approval polls someday, soon, presumably.

And so on, and so on. The RNC's "Swiss Army knife" strategy could be as effective as the actual Swiss Army.

Instapundit thinks this column means something different - he's going to run against the press instead. Like he's not doing that anyway...

No accounting firm will accede to that 'demand', unless they want to lose all of their clients. It'll never happen. Another one of your wet dreams, apparently. Use a sock next time.

Rachel Maddow's audience isn't shrinking; her appeal is becoming more selective!

Tough week for you, bunky?

In conclusion - go fuck yourself with a 9-iron.

Sorry, unlike your "exonerated" racist slug, I don't own a 9-iron. I work for an honest living.

Don't tell me, tell the minority Republicans. They sent a whimpering counter-letter of their own to the accounting firm, urging them not to do it. But why bother? Don't they know that no accounting firm will accede to that 'demand'? After all, they know what the Oversight committee can and can't do; they controlled it up until the midterm Blue Wave (that wasn't a wave at all).

Mostly, the House Republicans were just butt-hurt that the way they found out about the entirely legal request -- and this is true -- was when Cummings and the Democrats cc'd Jim Jordan on the letter they'd already sent to the bank. The same courtesy will happen with the follow-up subpoenas, but hopefully it won't come to that.

Or maybe tell it to the Washington Post, which already has many of Trump's financial documents and is reporting on them.

Why would I settle for a sock, when there are so many Trump cockholsters like yourself these days? You should try to meet Robert Kraft, lip service. I hear he's a quick finisher and a big tipper.
